Studiomaster have a long heritage of building versatile, great-sounding mixers that are affordable and easy to use. The new MCX range which is aimed mainly for mixing live music is no exception. They are extremely well laid-out and finding the right control is very easy and intuitive even on the larger frame sizes.
All Studiomaster MCX mixers feature a strong steel chassis, the circuit boards use nutted controls for security and durability while the four band EQ gives you responsive musical control - the mic channels having two frequency sweep controls, this sort of feature normally only found on much larger mixers. The MCX have 6 Aux sends for effect and monitoring purposes (all selectable pre or post fader - excellent) and the 100mm channel faders offer smooth but accurate level control. The stereo channels (normally these are just line input channels on most mixers) also offer a microphone input which is blended with the stereo signals thus offering 3 inputs on the stereo channels! This illustrate just how versatile these mixers really are!
There are four models available: 12, 14, 24 and 32 channel frame sizes with the two larger models including an external power supply.
