NEW UK COMPLAINT X VERSION !

THE LD MEI 1000 - The next Generation of IN-EAR Monitoring

LD-Systems introduces with the MEI-1000 a new generation of In-Ear Monitoring. The MEI-1000, just like the MEI-100, features 160 Channels in the UHF Band and can be purchased in different frequency groups within 790-814MHz. In the stereo mode (Focus mode off), the two input signals can be heard left and right over the receiver. On the receiver you can adjust the balance between the input signals.

In the Focus Mode (Double Mono on), both input signals are mixed and can be heard in the centre over the receiver. You can however adjust the mixing level between the two signals. One common application of this feature is that a musician can adjust the mixing level between his instrument and the rest. Keep in mind though that in this case, an additional aux send is required on the mixer.

Mono:
A signal is sent from the transmitter to the receiver. When the balance is set to zero ("bal -0-"), the signal will be heard to equal amounts on both sides of the headphones. With the up/down buttons on the receiver, the mono signal can be panned to the left or right (15 steps in each direction).
Stereo:
Two separate signals L/R are sent from the transmitter to the receiver. The left signal will only be heard on the receivers' left earphone whereas the right signal will only be heard on the receivers' right earphone. In the position "bal -0-" both signals can be heard at the same volume (provided the source signals have the same level) on the respective sides of the earphones. With the up/down buttons on the receiver you can now adjust the balance between the left and right signals, i.e. the levels of the left and right signals inverse to each other. This can be done in 15 Steps in either direction.
Focus (Double Mono):
Two separate signals L/R are sent from the transmitter to the receiver. Both signals "L" and "R" can be heard on both sides of the earphones (mono). In the position "Foc -0-" both signals can be heard in the centre at the same volume (provided the source signals have the same level). With the up/down buttons on the receiver you can now adjust the mixing level between the two signals using the Focus ("FOC") function. This can be done in 15 steps in either direction. Because the signals are mono, one gets the impression, that the louder signal is further in front of the other. This function enables you to adjust the level of a single instrument over that of the other accompanying instruments.
