The FX 12
The DYNACORD FX 12 is concepted as a medium longthrow mid/high- frequency cabinet in coaxial design. It can be used also without subwoofer cabinets in high-quality sound reinforcement system for speech for medium-throw distances.
The recommended active x-over frequency is 140 Hz, 18 dB/oct. Butterworth. In the lo-mid range an ND 12 A Electro-Voice loudspeaker chassis works into a conical horn. The 80x40 Constant Directivity horn, driven by an Electro-Voice 1.4" ND 6 neodymium driver delivers the frequency range above 1kHz.
The FX 12 is equipped with a passive x-over (1kHz, 18 dB/oct). Every transducer is protected against thermal overload with an electronic circuit called VOICE COIL TRACKING PROTECTION.
This circuit senses the terminal voltages of the transducers and simulates the thermal behaviour of the tranducers’ voice coils. In case of a potential thermal overload the power applied to the speakers is reduced to a safe level.
Power amps up to 1200W 8 Ohms can be used in order to have maximum dynamic range without the danger of thermal overload in non-controlled situations. The VOICE COIL TRACKING PROTECTION exhibits ‘soft’ switching characteristics, so no annoying clicks or pops are audible.
The circuitry automatically resets after the voice coil temperature has reached a safe value.

DYNACORD FX 20
The FX20 is a Planar Waveguide Basshorn, equipped with the high-power Electro-Voice EVX 180B 18" transducer. Frequency response is 30Hz - 150Hz (-10dB), so the crossover frequency to Mid-Hi cabinets can be chosen strictly application-oriented between 80Hz and 140Hz. The cabinet is equipped with an electronic circuit called VOICE COIL TRACKING PROTECTION.

The cabinet surface is covered with a heavy-duty black carpet. A powder- coated steel grille and an acoustic foam front protects the speakers. The connector panel uses two 4-pole Speakon connectors (IN/OUT) for a safe connection and easy daisy-chaining to other cabinets. The pin assignment is 1+/1-. Pins 2+ and 2- are also connected between the respective two Speakon connectors.
When using DYNACORD power amp racks or system amplifiers, the whole system can be wired with 4-pole Speakon cables without any danger of accidental wiring mistakes. The cabinet is equipped with eight large rubber feet that allow easy stacking. Six handles and four heavy-duty castors on the rear side guarantee easy and safe transport. Specifications

The universally usable Xa 4000 active 2-way power amplifier provides Class H technology and a switching power supply. Xa 4000 power amps combine outstanding audio performance, highest reliability and operational safety allowing easy setup and operation of active 2-way systems with a crossover frequency of 140Hz between bass and mid/high cabinets.
The power ampfs output capacity of 1100W/4ohms for the bass channel and 900W/4ohms for the mid/high channel allows the connection of up to four 8ohms cabinets per channel. The integrated frequency crossover separates the bass from the mid/high range at 140Hz.
The x-over is carried out as a modified Butterworth-crossover with a slope of 18dB/octave. The crossover frequency of 140Hz allows the connection of basically any mid/high and bass cabinet. Using 2-or 3-way fullrange speaker systems . for example DYNACORD F150 . as mid/high cabinets is possible as well. Individual dB-scaled level controls for SUB and TOP channels, which are carried out as recess-mounted detent potentiometers provide a control range between +6dB and .‡ allow combining bass and mid/high cabinets with quite different efficiency.
The frequency response of the Xa 4000 particularly accounts for the requirements of .Liveg applications. An integrated Lo-Cut filter attenuates low-frequency signals such as rumble and subsonic noise protecting the bass cabinets from being damaged by mechanical overload.
